David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit a Lighting Department Manager for their offices in Ras Al Khaimah.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the department within a fast-paced live production environment ensuring efficient operations and alignment with overall production goals.
- Establish implement and maintain departmental policies procedures and best practices to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with directors producers and technical teams to coordinate strategies that support production requirements.
- Supervise mentor and evaluate team members providing training and fostering a supportive collaborative work environment.
- Oversee inventory maintenance and allocation of equipment and resources ensuring readiness under tight deadlines while driving innovation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance and departmental activities.
- Identify troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while preparing reports for senior leadership and staying informed on industry developments to improve operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in English with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a live production broadcast or similar technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant equipment systems and techniques with a solid understanding of applicable safety standards and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead develop and motivate a team with experience in performance management and staff development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and provide clear reporting to senior management.
- Proactive innovative and flexible
- Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends to support 24/7 operations.
