Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for guests at the beach bar including appetizers salads and light meals while adhering to the resorts culinary standards.
- Design and create a menu that aligns with the beach bars theme incorporating fresh local ingredients.
- Ensure that the kitchen area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the head chef and fellow team members to facilitate smooth kitchen operations and service.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies ensuring consistent availability of fresh ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and service standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and introduce innovative concepts for dishes and beverages.
Requirements - Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or resort setting preferably with beach bar or outdoor dining experience.
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Strong cooking skills with knowledge of diverse cuisines and presentation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional creativity and a passion for quality ingredients and seasonal menus.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to train junior staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays in a resort environment.
