WSP are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Operations Manager to join our Transport & Infrastructure team in the Middle East. The Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of transport and infrastructure projects focusing on quality management commercial performance and project optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and engineering with proven experience in operations management within the engineering consultancy industry.


Your new role whats involved


Operational Excellence & Quality Management:

  • Oversee daytoday operations within the Transport & Infrastructure business unit ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all projects adhere to regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • Continuously improve operational processes to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Commercial & Financial Management:

  • Ensure the commercial success of the business unit by closely monitoring project budgets costs and profitability.
  • Review and analyze project financials identifying areas for cost optimization and improved performance.
  • Work closely with the finance and commercial teams to manage contracts invoicing and commercial risks.

Project Performance & Engagement:

  • Review and assess the performance of ongoing projects providing guidance to project managers and teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Monitor project timelines budgets and resource allocation addressing any issues or bottlenecks to keep projects on track.
  • Enhance project engagement through effective communication ensuring alignment between project teams clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist and support the setup and management of Inter Company Agreements (ICAs).

Process Improvement & Strategy Implementation:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve project performance focusing on efficiency client satisfaction and overall business growth.
  • Identify and implement best practices across the business unit driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support senior management in strategic planning for the Transport & Infrastructure division.

Wed love to hear from you if you have:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in operations management within the engineering consultancy industry with a focus on transport and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and commercial management principles.
  • Experience in assisting and supporting project leaders in the delivery of largescale infrastructure projects on time within budget and to the required quality standards including contractual commercial risk / opportunity and change management.
  • Excellent communication leadership and client management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commercially minded with experience in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
