Sr Consultant I, Pricing
Job Description
The Sr. Consultant I, Pricing position works closely with sales engagement teams to develop financial models to support business expansion with new and existing clients. During this process they act as a financial consultant to the engagement team and help with developing strategies to win the business. They take an active role in training and supporting junior-level pricers.
- Works with solution architects, sales leads/account managers, delivery leads, IT, TA, and other pursuit team members to prepare pricing and forward-looking financials for new business, business expansion, and renewal opportunities
- Designs and quantify strategies to close sales opportunities; models and bridges financial impacts of options to help teams make informed business decisions
- Serves as financial consultant when reviewing individual client proposals to assess client savings expectations against company financial objectives
- Presents pricing summaries to regional and executive leadership to gain approvals, this can include presenting the financial details of a pricing case to senior executive leadership and attending executive deal review calls to help present the financial view of the opportunity and answer questions
- Participates in contracting discussions on financial terms and conditions, highlighting the risks and advantages for the client and company
- Presents pricing assumptions to implementation team once the deal is won, identifying specific financial assumptions and terms the delivery team will need to manage to in order to be successful; correctly archives and records closed opportunities in internal databases and SFDC
- Ensures that the overall pricing processes is adhered to, including pricing delegation rules, corporate review clip levels, and all appropriate business controls surrounding the pricing process
- Communicates the impacts of foreign exchange and inflation on financial modeling
- Demonstrates knowledge of accounting and financial planning processes, including an ability to analyze profit and loss statements
- Supports ad hoc projects, as required
- Trains, mentors, and develops other pricers
- Develops areas of expertise to lead and advise the rest of the global team
- Manage a large, complex opportunity that spans multiple regions, LOBs, and product types
