Ensure efficient operation of hotel properties equipment and maintenance services whilst protecting the Owners assets.
Oversee structural aspects grounds maintenance and external facilities of the hotels.
Monitor budgets and control expenses across all areas of the department.
Coordinate purchasing for Engineering departments in line with hotel procedures.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance procedures including the annual Preventative Maintenance programme.
Oversee all technical installations including building services kitchen equipment and hotel systems.
Ensure compliance with Minor Hotels policies on Fire Hygiene Health and Safety.
Provide solutions for emergency situations and significant technical issues.
Lead and support the Chief Engineers & team members in achieving financial operational and service delivery targets through effective policy development and training.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering
Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering roles within the hospitality industry with at least 5 years in a senior management position
Proven track record as a Director of Engineering or similar role in a multi-property or large-scale hotel environment
Comprehensive knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and life safety systems
Strong understanding of energy management and sustainability practices in the hospitality sector
Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and property management software
Excellent project management skills with experience in renovation and capital improvement projects
In-depth knowledge of local building codes regulations and health and safety standards
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget preparation and cost control
Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop engineering staff across multiple properties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests team members staff and stakeholders at all levels
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make quick informed decisions in high-pressure situations
Professional certifications such as Certified Hotel Engineer (CHE) or equivalent are highly desirable
Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
