Job Description
Location: Abu Dhabi UAE (On-site Full-time)
Experience Required: 812 years
Role Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master with 8-12 years of experience in leading agile teams and driving high-performance delivery. The role is focused on coaching facilitating and enabling cross-functional teams to deliver impactful technology solutions. While GenAI/AI project exposure is a plus the primary responsibility is to ensure agile excellence continuous improvement and team success.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (planning stand-ups reviews retrospectives) and ensure adherence to agile principles.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog and improve prioritization.
- Remove impediments quickly escalating when needed to keep delivery on track.
- Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and transparency within the team.
- Track and report agile metrics (velocity predictability quality) to drive improvements.
- Coach team members and stakeholders in agile mindset and practices.
- Encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable follow-ups.
- (Preferred) Support GenAI / AI/ML project teams by aligning sprint planning with unique challenges like data readiness model training or infrastructure bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-12 years of IT/software delivery experience with at least 5 years as a Scrum Master.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban SAFe) and proven success in scaling them.
- Demonstrated ability to improve team velocity predictability and overall delivery performance.
- Excellent facilitation servant leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Hands-on with agile tools: JIRA Azure DevOps Rally or similar.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- (Preferred) Exposure to GenAI / AI/ML projects and understanding of unique delivery challenges.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field (required)
- Masters degree in Business Administration Project Management or Technology (preferred).
- Mandatory Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PSM II/III
- At least one Agile/Scaled Agile certification (e.g. SAFe PMI-ACP ICAgile)
