Overview
The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Specialist to lead and manage the universitys online presence. The selected candidate will play a key role in building brand awareness promoting academic programs and enhancing community engagement through innovative digital storytelling across platforms such as Instagram LinkedIn TikTok and Facebook.
Salary: AEDper month (based on experience and portfolio)
Note: Arabic language skills are a Must.

Key Responsibilities
Develop manage and execute AUEs social media strategy.
Create and publish engaging content that aligns with the universitys branding and goals.
Monitor and analyze platform performance using KPIs to optimize campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content is relevant timely and visually consistent.
Engage with audiences and influencers to enhance online reputation and reach.
Cover major university events creating real-time high-quality social media coverage.
Train and support internal departments to foster consistent digital messaging.
Stay current with platform trends algorithm changes and emerging tools.
Generate reports and insights to support marketing strategies.
Uphold AUEs voice and branding across all digital channels.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism or a related field.
46 years of experience managing social media for a brand institution or organization.
Strong content portfolio showcasing creativity campaign execution and growth metrics.
Skills & Competencies
Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
Proficient with tools such as Hootsuite Buffer Sprout Social or equivalent.
Skilled in analytics platforms (e.g. Meta Business Suite Google Analytics).
Experienced with basic design and editing tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Suite CapCut).
Strong copywriting and visual storytelling ability.
- Familiarity with content metrics and social media algorithms.
Excellent organizational time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns with attention to detail and deadlines.
Familiarity with higher education digital trends is preferred.
