The Piping Engineer is responsible for understanding the Scope of Work (SOW) and carrying-out duties related to preparation and issue of engineering deliverables to Lead Engineer/Senior Engineer for project implementation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives allocated duties & studies Scope of Work.
- Performs Piping design calculations and analysis.
- Prepares Piping design reports specifications and datasheets.
- Check all drawings related to piping.
- Verify drafting for compliance with other engineering documents.
- Prepares the Material requisitions.
- Undertakes technical evaluations.
- Update documents according to the senior or lead engineers comment(s);
- Reports on work progress.
- Prepare materials take offs.
- Attends technical & progress & design review meetings.
- Raises the technical queries.
- Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelors degree or higher qualification in an engineering discipline from a reputable college or university;
- Minimum of 8 years proven work experience in petro-chemical/oil and gas industry;
- Experience of engineering work in FEED/EPC projects.
- Conversant with international Standards in piping engineering. Must have positive attitude very dynamic highly motivated and hardworking.
- Must have good analytical skills interpersonal skills and team-work skills.
- Must have well-developed planning and organizing skills.
- Must have excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook AutoCAD and other design/engineering software);
- Knowledge of engineering software for stress analysis 3D modelling etc.
- Must have thorough understanding of specific Engineering discipline.
- Must have thorough knowledge of interdisciplinary interfaces.
- Must have knowledge of piping engineering softwares like CAESAR II Smart plant etc.
- Must have positive attitude very dynamic highly motivated and hardworking.
- Must be flexible and have ability to work under pressure to meet the demands of projects.
