General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Inspector will report directly to the Electrical Engineer and Construction Manager and is responsible for overseeing all Electrical networks aspects of the project.
- Monitoring all Electrical construction activities aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards
- Undertaking all site supervision and inspections when required.
- Review technical submittals shop drawings associated with the Electrical works.
- Review construction schedules including manpower and equipment requirements.
- Be completely familiar with the QA/QC requirements of all Construction Documents including Drawings Specifications and Schedules
- Inspecting the construction works methods and operations sampling and Site activities to assure their compliance with all construction documents.
- Monitor installations to ensure that only approved materials are being used in the permanent works.
- Ensuring the contractor(s) are complying with the standards and specifications of the contract documents through observation measurements and testing as well as tracking quality assurance progress.
- Report on materials delivery and following and implementing any site instructions
- Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
- Provide information to the Project Engineer and others of the project team required to meet the KPIs.
- Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the leader
- Maintain registers of all submittals and testing both on site and off site.
- Maintain full site records including daily site diaries in an approved format.
- Prepare reports related to inspections and quality of the works.
- Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and report on violations
- Attend Coordination Meeting as assigned between Civil Structural MEP and Finishes activity.
- Attending Technical Meeting.
Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- Good working knowledge of local Abu Dhabi infrastructure construction industry practices/safety/quality management systems.
- Good communication skills in English
- Clear Verbal communication skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Good report writing and reporting skills is a must.
- Displays initiative drive and delivery focus
- Attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
- Sound interpersonal & relationship building skills
