Inspector - Civil

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality safety and compliance of various construction projects throughout the region.

• Conduct thorough inspections of civil engineering projects including buildings roads bridges and other infrastructure
• Verify compliance with local building codes safety regulations and project specifications
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings and recommendations
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and contractors to address any issues or non-conformities
• Perform regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality
• Review and interpret construction plans blueprints and technical specifications
• Ensure proper implementation of safety protocols on construction sites
• Maintain accurate records of inspections test results and project documentation
• Stay updated on industry standards regulations and best practices in civil engineering
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements
• Travel within Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas as required for inspection projects

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma required; Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred
• Proven experience in civil engineering inspection or related field
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles practices and construction methods
• Familiarity with local and international building codes and safety regulations particularly those applicable in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
• Proficiency in using various inspection tools and equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications
• Physical fitness to perform field inspections in various environmental conditions
• Relevant industry certifications such as FHWA-NHI-130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges are highly desirable
• Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and inspection software
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel within Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas for inspection projects
• Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and ethics
