Chargehand

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating daily operations ensuring efficiency safety and quality standards are met. This position requires a strong leader with excellent technical skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

• Lead and supervise a team of workers assigning tasks and coordinating daily activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Monitor work progress and quality making adjustments as necessary to meet project deadlines
• Collaborate with management to plan and organize work schedules and resource allocation
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members as needed
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives address concerns and promote teamwork
• Perform quality checks on completed work and maintain accurate records
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Train new team members on proper work procedures and safety protocols
• Assist in resolving any workplace conflicts or issues among team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing diverse teams
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the relevant industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Efficient time management and organizational skills
• Basic maintenance skills relevant to the industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or work orders
• Computer literacy for reporting and documentation purposes
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial
• Valid UAE work visa or eligibility to obtain one
• Industry-specific certifications may be required (depending on the sector)
