Analyze project drawings specifications and other documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Monitor project costs during execution and identify variances from the budget.
Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analysis.
Manage change orders and variations and provide cost impact assessments.
Prepare interim and final payment applications and assist in resolving payment disputes.
Maintain updated cost reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Assist with tendering processes and procurement of materials/services.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations industry standards and legal regulations.
Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional membership or certification (e.g. RICS AIQS etc.) is preferred.
Proficient in cost estimation budgeting and cost control techniques.
Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and legal regulations.
Familiarity with standard forms of contracts (e.g. FIDIC JCT etc.).
Expertise in MS Excel AutoCAD and quantity surveying software (e.g. CostX Cubit etc.).
Strong analytical negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication report-writing and interpersonal skills.
