Digital Sales Engineer - Flow Controls Middle East & Africa
The Digital Sales Engineer will engage with our customers through digital and remote sales tools to achieve the agreed sales targets. This role will own the interaction with customers that do not require periodic face-to-face contact or prefer to interact through coordinated digital platforms.
As the main sales point of contact with the assigned customers you will provide pre- and post-sales support drive the account strategy establish relationships with the customer counterparts supervise and understand customer needs and align Emersons offerings to address them in collaboration with the inside sales team subject matter experts and Industry Solution Group. You will increase sales enablement tools in the process to improve your customer reach and potential and will be a key integral part of the digital sales team as well as the regional sales team!
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Responsible for the achievement of Orders targets for the Flow Controls Portfolio within the agreed segment of customers and industries through digital and remote interactions.
- Be responsible for the bookings forecast for the segment and ensure monthly delivery of the volume dedication.
- Proactively work with customers to increase digital integration. Be proficient in the benefits of digital integration.
- Act as single human point of contact to secure customer happiness during and after the transition. Provide pre- and post-sales support and regular follow-up.
- Engage with customers through digital marketing sales enablement tools e-commerce platforms and other digital means (including MS Teams Webex and phone) to assist customers in product selection application support access to expertise and placement of orders.
- Increase hit rate by following up on open quotes and converting them to committed sales.
- Supervise digital tools related sales leads. Proactively act on leads to convert potential business in the assigned segments.
- Understand and use available data analytics and reports to optimize account growth strategies including whitespace analysis pricing actions and customer segmentation.
- Explore and tap into new industries to expand market reach develop tailored marketing approaches for different industry segments and research and identify emerging markets and opportunities for product expansion.
- Drive the prospecting processes identify and collaborate to generate & exploit new LEADS at existing unspecified segments and new customers markets and geographies.
- Actively coordinate with colleagues and orchestrate the support of subject matter authorities Product Managers or other company team members to build a compelling and differentiating value proposition for the selected customers.
- Support the deployment of new internal or 3rd party digital tools and engagement platforms as new technologies become available.
- Stay constantly informed and proactively develop an understanding of the entire Flow Controls portfolio rapidly accepting new technologies and incorporating new product launches in the sales strategy.
- Observe market and competitor related events and provide inputs and suggestions to business development processes.
- Observe the Business Ethics standards stipulated by Emerson.

For this Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or comparable technical education with 1 3 years of proven experience
- You will be based in Dubai and covering allocated industries and accounts across Middle East & Africa Region.
- Proven experience selling technologies to customers in the relevant industry.
- Affinity for technology and the digital world to proactively leverage sales enablement tools and platforms to incorporate them in your day to day selling process & activities.
- Intuition for business and understanding of commercial contracts as well as the quote to orders process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skill in English and French.
- Strong collaboration skills as part of your integration into the digital sales team the regional sales team and across business unit and cross BU departments such as product management customer care finance & others
- Regional travel will be required both Internal and External at least 25% of the time
