Role Purpose:
The Senior Product Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the department Head in achieving strategic product and business development goals. This role involves managing product initiatives collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the successful execution of projects and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical project management and communication skills to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities of the role
Strategic Planning & Channel Management
- Support the Head of Products in setting and tracking channel objectives and performance metrics.
- Contribute to the profitability and strategic direction of the department.
- Collaborate with third-party Takaful providers to co-develop and enhance product offerings.
Operational & Support Functions
- Provide day-to-day support to Direct Sales and Branch Sales teams to meet business targets.
- Act as a liaison for Takaful-related matters across product and operations teams.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of cross-functional tasks.
Sales Enablement & Customer Experience
- Drive product penetration and cross-selling initiatives.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through efficient booking processes and retention strategies.
- Deliver product training and knowledge-sharing sessions for frontline sales teams.
Policy Process & Compliance Management
- Act as the BORM coordinator and manage responsibilities related to the GRC system.
- Align product proposals with internal policies and coordinate with Legal Shariah IT and other departments.
- Initiate and review process improvements to enhance product delivery and compliance.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- Bachelors degree in business or finance.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in insurance or banking sector.
- Understand Bancatakaful market / industry dynamics and key drivers of change in market conditions.
- Strong ability to understand customer behaviors by establishing rapport and trust.
- Strong acumen of business development & building relationships with internal and external parties
- Good knowledge of UAE banking practices regulations and risks.
- Good presentation planning organizing interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- PC literate with good analytical skills.
