We are seeking a Civil Designer with proven experience to join our highperforming engineering team. The ideal candidate will provide expertlevel design and technical leadership for civil and structural works across a largescale onshore oil and gas development. This role demands deep technical knowledge in infrastructure and foundations for process and utility facilities along with a strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and construction support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop comprehensive site plans and infrastructure layouts for oil and gas facilities ensuring optimal land use and functionality.
- Conduct routing studies for essential infrastructure components such as roads drainage systems and utility corridors.
- Establish configurations for structural elements such as foundations retaining walls and support structures.
- Exhibit a proactive approach cooperate effectively with team members and fulfill duties with diligence and responsibility.
- Perform 3D modelling of infrastructure components using software like Civil 3D or Revit to visualize and optimize designs.
- Utilize 3D tools to model civil structures and supports based on engineering studies and project requirements.
- Route minor infrastructure lines and incorporate necessary modifications and changes into the design.
- Conduct various checks such as clash detection and compliance verification to ensure design integrity and safety.
- Produce detailed civilrelated drawings including site plans sections and construction details.
- Extract construction and general arrangement drawings from the 3D model for use in project execution.
- Perform material takeoff for civil components to ensure accurate estimation and procurement.
- Coordinate with other designers and engineers to ensure interdisciplinary alignment and project coherence.
- Regularly report the progress of work to project managers and stakeholders highlighting key achievements and challenges.
- Review and provide comments on vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Holds a certificate/diploma in Civil Engineering and have a minimum 12 years of experience in oil/gas onshore and offshore facilities.
- Should have at least 7 years of working experience in 3D environment using PDMS or SP3D software.
- Must have working knowledge of E3D and SP3D software.
- Other software like AutoCAD Microstation etc. is required.
- Experience in field engineering activities will be an added advantage.
