Job Description

Position Overview

The Brand and Communications Sr. Manager at STARZPLAY will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategy public relations partnerships and content marketing initiatives. This role will ensure STARZPLAY maintains its position as the leading SVOD platform in the MENA region by building brand equity driving engagement and creating compelling communications across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continue to develop and implement STARZPLAYs brand strategy and positioning across the MENA region
  • Lead and manage teams responsible for PR partnerships influencer marketing and content marketing
  • Oversee the planning and execution of brand campaigns ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with media companies content creators and influencers to extend brand reach
  • Build and execute an impactful PR strategy to generate positive media coverage and increase brand awareness
  • Create and implement content marketing strategies that drive engagement and support subscriber acquisition
  • Manage influencer relationships and campaigns to promote STARZPLAY content and offerings
  • Collaborate with content acquisition teams to develop marketing strategies for new shows and movies
  • Work closely with the Head of Growth to ensure brand initiatives support overall business objectives
  • Oversee social media strategy to build community engagement and strengthen brand loyalty
  • Develop and manage crisis communication strategies when needed
  • Monitor brand performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Present brand performance and strategic plans to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Public Relations or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8 years of experience in brand management communications or marketing with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of building successful brands preferably in media entertainment or technology sectors
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing communications strategies
  • Strong background in PR partnerships influencer marketing and content marketing
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics platforms (Sprinklr Khoros Hootsuite Sprout Social)
  • Experience with media monitoring and PR analytics tools (Meltwater Cision Talkwalker)
  • Knowledge of brand health tracking tools and methodologies
  • Experience with content management systems and digital asset management platforms
  • Handson experience with influencer relationship management platforms and campaign analytics
  • Proficiency with reporting tools to measure and communicate brand performance metrics
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative thinker with strong storytelling abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills for engaging with media partners and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the SVOD/OTT industry or entertainment sector
  • Knowledge of the MENA media landscape and consumer preferences
  • Experience with entertainment or content marketing
  • Understanding of Arabic language and cultural nuances across the MENA region
  • Background in digital marketing and social media strategy
  • Experience working in a fastpaced highgrowth technology company
  • Proficiency with SEO tools and content performance analytics (SEMrush Ahrefs BrightEdge)
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign analytics
  • Knowledge of competitive intelligence tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and targeting tools
  • Experience with video content performance analytics
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and their impact on marketing strategies
