Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

This role is primarily responsible for supervising a subsection of Corporate Loan Operations within a specific product or functional area as a Manager and to ensure quality and timeliness of the delivery.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership & accountability of all Corporate& investment Banking operation.
  • Oversee all daily activities are conducted in adherence to laid down operating policies and procedures of the bank.
  • Target Zero Operation loss Zero High Risk error and no income leakage events.
  • Overall responsible for Internal and external Audits conducted.
  • High risk events to be covered in the RCSA document.
  • Understand and analyse business requirements and overall involvement and responsible for UATs and implementations.
  • Participation in bank wide initiatives and new proposals launched by Business.
  • Work in coordination with the other departments across the Organization Personal Banking & credit underwriters/administration units & CAD in effectively processing transactions and provide a fullservice banking proposition to the banks customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Direct the implementation of the functional strategy ensuring alignment to group strategy FAB vision mission and corporate objectives.
  • Ensure that functional strategy and related strategic plans are implemented which are aligned with the vision and mission of the bank.
  • Ensure the provision of subject matter expertise for the assigned domain and provide counsel to FAB leadership on all related areas to facilitate the achievement of FAB strategy and functional strategies.

Leadership

  • Manage the effective achievement of functional objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives managing performance developing and motivating team to maximise performance.
  • Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned function collaborating with discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
  • Act as a role model and drive adherence to organisational values and ethics by employees of the assigned function to ensure the establishment of a value driven culture within the bank.

Policies Systems Processes & Procedures

  • Develop and lead the implementation of functional policies systems processes procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned functional so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality costeffective service in a consistent manner.

Change Management

  • Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of functional systems processes and practices taking into account global standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet FAB requirements policies and quality standards.

Job Context

Strategic Contribution

  • Lead the execution of Banks strategic plan within functional scope.
  • Lead daytoday execution governance and monitoring of the reporting functions within division.

Operational Delivery:

  • Manage all Functions delivering the services within remit.
  • Set functional priorities and overlook the roll out of transformation activity of functions within division.
  • Overlook the functional operations within remit coach utilizing best practices commonalities of approach with a specific focus on optimized Client Service Risk Management principles and lean & efficiency principles.
  • Set and direct best practices and apply the principles of Operational Risk Policy.
  • Manage lead develop and coach direct reports.
  • Coach articulating product strategies and ensuring the full execution of the annual operating plan.
  • Develops related systems and operating procedures ongoing product/process reengineering.
  • Involve relevant support departments to ensure smooth operations for all functional products and services.

Business Partnership

  • Successfully partner with the stakeholders to ensure the strategy alignment and operations to evolve business needs.

People Management:

  • Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting of individual objectives managing performance developing and motivating staff to maximise sectional performance.
  • Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned department collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
  • Act as a role model and drive adherence to organisational values and ethics by employees of the assigned department to foster a value driven culture within the bank.

Policies Systems Processes & Procedures

  • Manage and ensure effective implementation of the functional policies procedures and controls covering all areas of agency activities so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements fulfilled while delivering a quality costeffective service.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems processes and practices considering global standards productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all unit reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet FAB requirements policies and quality standards.

Legal Compliance:

  • Ensures the filing tracking and monitor compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements as relevant to the area of operations.

Governance:

  • Ensure the top management is fully informed on the Division / Functional Scope condition and allimportant factors influencing its operation.
  • Facilitates executive decisions and deliberation.

Authorities:

As delegated by VP & Head of Loan Operations.

 


Qualifications :

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree or Higher in Business Economics Commerce Accounting and Finance or related discipline.

Minimum Experience

  • 810 years relevant experience in banking sector with at least 8 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in corporate loan operation function.
