We are currently seeking a Piping Stress Engineer to join our engineering team for an onshore oil and gas project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping stress analysis and design with experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering phases. Candidates must be immediately available and possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform piping stress analysis using tools such as CAESAR II Autopipe or equivalent.
- Prepare and review stress isometrics support loads and equipment nozzle load reports.
- Identify and resolve critical stress issues by coordinating with piping layout civil/structural mechanical and process teams.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications ASME codes (e.g. B31.3 and relevant industry standards.
- Develop stress analysis reports and documentation required for client approvals.
- Support piping design team in the selection of appropriate supports and expansion devices.
- Evaluate and check flexibility analysis for critical lines (including equipment nozzle loads).
- Provide input during 3D model reviews (e.g. 30 60 90 model reviews).
- Review vendor drawings and coordinate with equipment and package engineers for interface requirements.
- Participate in interdiscipline meetings to resolve design clashes and stressrelated issues.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Piping Stress Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in onshore projects during the engineering (FEED and/or Detailed Design) phase.
- Proficient in CAESAR II (mandatory); knowledge of other tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of international codes and standards (ASME B31.3 API etc..
- Experience with SPR/Navisworks/SmartPlant Review for model navigation and review is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Immediate availability is mandatory.
