Job Brief:
– Play a key role in flavor sales growth, Shisha flavor creation, flavor production and flavor library by working efficiently to support customer briefs while maintaining a vision of what will work best for customers.
– Interact with customers, other shisha flavorists, sensory scientists, production, and suppliers to ensure that goals are met and that briefs are completed in a timely manner.
– Extensive understanding of raw materials, finished products, production, regulatory, analytical and flavor application.
– Should have significant experience in his/her area of expertise and continues share knowledge in flavor development and relevant areas.
Job Responsibilities:
– Responsible for Shisha Flavor creation projects within APMEA
– Independently lead projects, developing Shisha flavors in line with business need and in response to customer brief
– Proactively work with new ingredients
– Utilize technology to deliver unique solutions to project brief
– Work closely with all EUM within
– Lead technical presentations and working sessions with customers
– Interact with key customers regionally or globally to understand requirements and build solid relationships
– Mentoring and training the Shisha flavor creation team
– Perform physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing and analysis of flavors by smoking the shisha flavors created
– Work with analytical group on flavor matching projects
– Employ thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory and labeling requirements for flavors
– Work with cross functional team to optimize the strengths of our company and deliver the best Taste and Nutrition experience for our customers
– Participate in sensory panels
– Attend industry events and seminars to further flavor knowledge, network, and scout for talent
Job Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or relevant degree in the field
– Active flavor work on the bench
– Good background in organic chemistry, food chemistry, flavor applications
– Good math skills for problem-solving calculations
– Strong trouble-shooting skills
– Strong and discerning sense of smell and taste
– Broad flavor experience across end-use with specialization is desirable
– Demonstrates passion for flavor creations
– Demonstrates strong ability for problem-solving and complaint resolution
– Demonstrates strong ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization
– Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills
