PLANT OPERATOR

Job Purpose:

The Plant Operator is responsible for operating the slag processing plant. The Plant Operator is the leader during the main operating shift and is responsible for ensuring the company’s performance and objectives are maintained and exceeded. The role involves managing the control units of the processing plant, troubleshooting any issues that arise during operation, making smart decisions to ensure proper operation of the plant and responding to challenges in the best way possible to maintain the overall objectives of the company in terms of processing, sales and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate the Slag Processing Plant in a safe and effective manner
• Achieve production and sales targets
• Supervise the operation support staff to ensure all roles are properly managed
• Supervise the operators of heavy equipment during the operating shift
• Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues on the spot to avoid lengthy delays or downtime
• Detailed reporting to Plant Manager and Maintenance team any issues in the plant
• Clear, straightforward and timely communication of performance related issues to management with a solution recommendation that achieve decisive positive resulted both short and long term
• Continuous cost reduction measures & eliminating any cost redundancies
• Achieving the company’s contractual KPI’s
• Enabling top performance from operations team

Job Requirements:

• Minimum5 years of Industrial operational experience
• Experience working with industrial plants, machinery and equipment
• Preferable to haveElectrical and / or Mechanical background
• Must have worked in one of the following industries:Crusher / Waste Recycling / Processing plants
