Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanic (Heavy Vehicles) to diagnose repair and maintain heavyduty vehicles including trucks buses and construction equipment. The ideal candidate should have handson experience with diesel engines hydraulics transmissions and electrical systems. Candidates with a UAE driving license will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting for mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues in heavy vehicles.
- Carry out repair and maintenance tasks on engines transmissions brakes suspensions and other vehicle components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and minimize breakdowns.
- Work with specialized tools diagnostic software and repair manuals to complete tasks accurately.
- Maintain service records and ensure all repairs comply with safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to junior mechanics and assist in training where necessary.
- Follow workshop safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Coordinate with supervisors and fleet managers for vehicle inspections and necessary approvals.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 510 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Education: Diploma or Certification in Automobile Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulic systems transmissions and electrical diagnostics.
- License: UAE driving license preferred.
- ProblemSolving: Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Work Ethics: Attention to detail time management and ability to handle highpressure situations.
- Language: Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi is an advantage.
Preferred:
- Experience working with fleet management or in transport/construction industries.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of UAE road and vehicle regulations.
