Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates, and supervises the Security Operations, inclusive of physical security, assets, and personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the implementation of security standards, policies, and procedures (including physical security, fire prevention, vehicles traffic, and security systems) to set the general plan, direction and outcome of the security function.
  • Develop the annual business and financial (budget) plan for the security function in consultation with top management and other internal functions (Finance, HR, etc.), to align with the strategic objectives, prioritize activities, and control cost.
  • Plan and manage all Security Activities to safeguard the assets, employees, tenants, and customers, and to align the activities with other functions and stakeholders.
  • Set the operating standards for the Operation of Central Command & Control Room and all local Security Control Rooms, to identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the operations of the Security Call Center, Monitoring Systems, Access (Electronic) Control, and reporting tools to detect and minimize security issues.
  • Develop and oversee the Visitors Management procedures to control physical access to designated areas.
  • Plan and manage the Events and VIP Security and Safety (according to size, location, nature, attendees, etc.) to mitigate known risks, prevent injuries, properties damage, etc.
  • Develop and manage providing unmatched Security Concierge Services, Security Checkpoints, and Patrolling at specified locations, to ensure overall safety and security of buildings tenants and visitors.
  • Manage the risk assessment, threats identification and potential consequences to develop necessary mitigations, response, and emergency plan.
  • Set up and oversee the execution of Emergency Response and Disaster Control to reduce losses and harmful effects to properties and people.
  • Analyses and determines the security on-going needs of Security Logistics (including resources, supplies, equipment, and technology) to help deliver the most efficient security services.
  • Manage the identification, investigation, and resolution of all Security Breaches, to identify gaps, minimize losses and prevent them from recurring.
  • Coordinate with all governmental bodies (MOI, Medics, Civil Defence, etc.) reviews, evaluations, and investigations to bridge security gaps, share information/expertise for the benefit of the business strategy.

Desired candidate profile

  • Security Operations Management:

    • Assist in the daily operations of the security department, overseeing the work of security personnel, ensuring the proper execution of security protocols.
    • Ensure the effective operation of security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.), maintaining logs, and troubleshooting any issues with security equipment.
    • Monitor security activities across various shifts, ensuring appropriate coverage and that procedures are followed.
  • Staff Training and Development:

    • Train and educate security staff on policies, procedures, and protocols.
    • Conduct regular drills for emergency situations like fires, evacuations, or medical emergencies.
    • Oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and performance management of security personnel.
  • Risk Management and Incident Response:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments of the premises, identifying potential vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.
    • Respond to security incidents, accidents, or breaches, documenting all incidents and taking corrective actions where necessary.
    • Ensure the prompt reporting of security breaches and follow up on investigations.
  • Emergency Preparedness:

    • Develop and enforce emergency response procedures, ensuring all personnel are familiar with evacuation plans, fire drills, and crisis management protocols.
    • Act as a point of contact during emergencies, ensuring proper coordination between security teams, management, and emergency responders.
  • Policy Implementation and Compliance:

    • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all security-related regulations, laws, and organizational standards.
    • Regularly audit security processes to ensure they meet compliance and performance standards.
  • Collaboration with External Authorities:

    • Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, or other emergency services when needed.
    • Coordinate security activities with local authorities in the event of a security breach or large-scale incident.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and accidents, producing detailed reports for management review.
    • Analyze security data and incidents to identify trends and areas for improvement in policies and procedures.
    • Prepare regular security updates for senior management, identifying risks and improvements needed.
  • Security Technology Management:

    • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and functionality of security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
    • Ensure proper surveillance and monitoring of high-risk areas, handling data collection and analysis from security systems.
