Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a polished and customerfocused Hostess with experience in the hospitality industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests ensuring they are warmly welcomed and seated promptly. Strong interpersonal skills a professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Greeting and Seating:

    • Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
    • Manage reservations and walkins efficiently to minimize wait times.
    • Escort guests to their tables or assigned areas while maintaining proper seating flow.
  2. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Engage with guests to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
    • Respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests ensuring a positive experience.
  3. Reservation Management:

    • Handle phone and online reservations accurately recording details in the booking system.
    • Coordinate with the service staff to manage table turnovers and seating arrangements.
  4. Ambiance Maintenance:

    • Ensure the dining area or lounge is clean organized and visually appealing at all times.
    • Monitor the guest area to ensure it meets high hospitality standards.
  5. Collaboration with Team:

    • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
    • Provide updates on guest preferences and special requests to enhance their experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 12 years in a hostess role or similar position within the hospitality industry.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of reservation software and basic computer skills.
  • Appearance: A professional and wellgroomed presentation.

Work Environment:

  • Must be comfortable working in a highend hotel or fine dining environment.
  • May require standing for extended periods and flexible working hours including weekends and holidays.
