Develop and implement M&V plans for energy savings performance contracting (ESPC) projects at various facilities.
Work along with the Project Design / Audit team to arrive at ECM-specific M&V approaches. Evaluate project performance risk, analyze savings calculations, review final M&V plans, and develop construction and service phase M&V budgets.
Analyze and normalize utility data using linear regressions and other analyses.
Supervise baseline and Pre / post-installation data collection, including trend data from building automation systems, field measurements, data loggers, and performance tests.
Diagnose HVAC and building system performance issues and draw up proper technical solutions to ensure & demonstrate proposed energy savings within the allotted budget.
Provide technical assistance with ongoing review of data from energy management systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and energy savings analysis in co-ordination with the Asset Management Team.
Prepare monthly / quarterly / annual energy savings reports in line with the IPMVP protocols and facilitate the billing process with customers.
Interface with Energy Engineers for reviews of baselines, design intent and savings calculations
Review, analyse and manage Energy Analysis by others including utility bill accounting, GHG inventory, end-use analysis and tariff modelling. Advise or perform the aforementioned as needed
Participate in data collection and performance verification of baseline and retrofitted equipment
Conduct spot measurements and short-term data collection during the ESPC (Energy Savings Performance Contract) lifecycle as required
Review building or campus energy systems baselines and develop baseline adjustments based on site reviews
Analyse energy management control system’s operation, sequences and trend data for system optimization and compliance to the M&V plan
Perform on-site trouble shooting and data logging to validate and correct project performance
