Main Responsibilities
PreAward Phase:
- Support the Business Development Team by reviewing draft contracts received as part of proposals and completing GMB checklists as required.
- Advise Clients on appropriate contract forms NonDisclosure Agreements Memorandums of Understanding and Joint Venture Agreements. Draft review and negotiate these documents as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure contractual obligations related to insurance and guarantees are adequately assessed.
- Work with Compliance and HSSE teams to ensure contractual requirements are thoroughly evaluated.
PostContract Phase:
- Provide guidance to CLIENTS disciplines and external clients on contractual and legal matters.
- Monitor and manage contractual and legal requirements throughout project execution.
- Participate in contractual meetings with third parties including clients and subcontractors.
- Implement an earlywarning system to identify potential claims propose mitigation strategies and engage in resolution meetings.
- Assist project teams in compiling variations amendments and change requests for client approval.
- Develop negotiating strategies and support project teams in handling subcontractor change requests.
- Draft contractual correspondence as needed.
- Ensure project teams are fully aware of their contractual obligations.
General Responsibilities:
- Supervise contract personnel across projects.
- Identify and implement training programs for contract personnel establishing achievable KPIs.
- Provide contractual and legal guidance for inhouse and external projects.
- Attend project sites to support teams and participate in client and contractor meetings.
- Develop and maintain contract management procedures aligned with IMS requirements.
- Oversee contract registers to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Support clients and CLIENTS teams in adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Contribute to CLIENTS UAEs capability development through training initiatives such as Lunch & Learn events.
- Adhere to Company Health Safety Environmental and Quality standards as per IMS requirements.
Qualifications :
- Technical Experience: 12 15 years in Contract Management preferably within procurement commercial project management or Oil & Gas services.
- Managerial Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Education: Legal LLB and/or Degree in Quantity Surveying Law Business Contracts or related studies.
- Previous experience in consultancy firms or similar (Head Office not projectbased roles).
- Prior experience in leading departments with a minimum of 25 years in such/similar role.
Linguistic Skills
- Mandatory: English proficiency.
