Job Description Summary
- Remote product and solution design, development, and onboarding project management for strategic EEMEA based Acceptance clients
- Develop end-to-end launch plans, working across the multiple products/solutions necessary to drive client success; with key focus on process, consumer experience, pricing, go-to-market, sales enablement
- Grow market share and identify incremental business opportunities
Description of the role
- Translates communicated customer needs into specific objectives
- Identifies solutions for complex isues
- Defines project requirements and priorities, estimates necessary resources and develops detailed selection evaluation criteria
- Coordinates impact to vendors (internal and external) and company workflow for a new product
- Defines the products/solution to be delivered then manages the delivery program and development of new and existing technologies in accordance with Mastercard standards to support business needs or initiatives
- Supports and performs technical analysis of complex software, hardware, and transmission facility using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient program delivery
- Assists in providing technical support for architecting new platform capabilities and setting technical strategies and roadmaps
- Provides technical support and guidance of managed work from concept through delivery in partnership with development programmers and regional customers
- Resolves complex infrastructure architecture issues, escalating unique or problematic areas as they arisen
- Manages a matrix team, conducts goal setting, monitoring and management

1. Technical Expertise
- Architecture Design: The core responsibility of a Solution Architect is to design systems and solutions that meet business requirements. This includes creating detailed technical blueprints and architecture diagrams.
- Technology Stack Knowledge: Proficiency in a variety of technologies, platforms, and tools is crucial. This might include:
- Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Programming languages like Java, Python, C#, and frameworks like Spring, Django, or .NET.
- Database management (SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Integration tools and technologies (e.g., APIs, ESB, SOAP/REST web services).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
2. Business Acumen
- Understanding Business Needs: Solution Architects must have a clear understanding of the client’s business requirements and goals. This enables them to design technology solutions that not only solve the technical problems but also align with the company's broader business strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Working closely with business leaders, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that solutions meet those needs.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Understanding how to balance technology needs with cost-effectiveness and ensuring that solutions are not only viable but also efficient in terms of budget and resource allocation.
3. Design & Architecture Skills
- System Design: Being able to design large-scale, complex systems that are robust, scalable, and maintainable. This involves high-level system architecture, as well as detailed design specifications.
- Scalability & Performance: Ensuring that solutions can scale as business needs grow and that they perform efficiently under various conditions.
- Security Architecture: Designing secure solutions that comply with relevant regulations and best practices, such as data encryption, access control, and secure data transmission.
