Roles and responsibilities
you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections on cars of all body types and preparing a report of the findings that includes details derived from the mechanical, electrical, paint & underbody condition, onboard diagnostic checks, and pictures that document any damage or areas that need attention. You will require a lot of ownership skills as Inspectors qualify the car, which can enter the ecosystem of our organisation.
In this role, you will:
- Inspect automotive vehicles to ensure compliance with emission standards and governmental regulations;
- Inspect the vehicle to derive conclusions about the functionality and performance of the engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, interior, electricals, air-conditioners, tyres and ECU/Sensors;
- Inspect the vehicle to derive conclusions about the paint synergy and any accidental or wear-and-tear damage;
- Inspect the vehicle to derive conclusions about any missing, dysfunctional or illegal part or equipment;
- Check preventive maintenance programs;
- Investigate complaints, accidents, auction history and total loss claims;
- Conduct VIN Investigation for previous records in the inspection directory;
- Liaise with the Team Leader in case of critical findings of the investigation or confusion to get a go-ahead;
- Take professional photographs of the car being inspected;
- Take pictures of the error/ findings while conducting the inspection;
- Prepare reports for cars that have been inspected by you;
- Review of the reports through the list of post-inspection checkpoints to conclude report preparation;
- Suggest improvements to vehicles that fail inspection when required
Requirements
- High School or Mechanical Diploma
- Valid UAE driving license
- 5 or more years of experience as a vehicle inspector
- Mechanical and Electrical work experience in automotive
- Automotive Certification (Good to have)
- Automobile Knowledge (Expert Level
- Car Segments & Knowledge about old and latest models
- Knowledge of using relevant automotive inspection equipment

- Conducting Inspections: Perform detailed inspections of vehicles, including engines, brakes, tires, lights, suspension systems, emissions, and overall vehicle condition.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that vehicles comply with all safety standards and regulations set by local, state, or federal authorities.
- Emissions Testing: Conduct emissions testing to verify compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
2. Documentation and Reporting
- Inspection Reports: Create detailed inspection reports that document the findings, including any issues or defects found during the inspection.
- Vehicle History: Review vehicle history reports to check for past accidents, repairs, or any potential red flags.
- Recommendation of Repairs: Based on the inspection findings, provide recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or upgrades required to make the vehicle roadworthy.
3. Ensuring Legal Compliance
- Regulatory Standards: Stay updated on local and national regulations regarding vehicle safety and emissions standards, ensuring compliance during inspections.
- Issuing Certificates: For vehicles that meet inspection standards, issue inspection certificates or approve vehicles for road use.
- Handling Violations: For vehicles that do not meet standards, document violations and recommend actions for compliance, including repair work or further testing.
4. Customer Interaction and Communication
- Client Communication: Interact with vehicle owners, fleet managers, or business owners to explain inspection results, necessary repairs, or upgrades needed.
- Advice on Maintenance: Provide recommendations on routine maintenance and safety practices to keep the vehicle in optimal working condition.
- Clarifying Issues: Help clients understand the results of their vehicle inspection and answer any questions regarding repair costs or necessary improvements.
5. Maintenance of Inspection Equipment
- Calibration of Tools: Ensure that inspection tools and equipment (such as emission testers, diagnostic machines, and lifting devices) are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Up-to-Date Technology: Stay updated on the latest diagnostic tools and vehicle technologies to ensure that inspections are thorough and accurate.
6. Quality Assurance
- Consistency: Ensure that inspections are conducted consistently, following established procedures and protocols.
- Accurate Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all inspections performed, including vehicle details, test results, and recommended repairs.
