Restaurant Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of a restaurant environment, contributing to a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both customers and staff. Their tasks generally include the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean dining areas, restrooms, kitchen, and other public areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Wipe down tables, chairs, and counters to ensure they are sanitized.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a sparkling appearance.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils as needed.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste following safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Adhere to hygiene standards and health codes to ensure the safety of customers and staff.
- Use cleaning chemicals and materials safely, following manufacturer instructions and safety procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment for kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the restaurant, including dining rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and storage areas.
- Clean tables, chairs, booths, and floors to maintain a tidy dining area.
- Wash dishes, utensils, glasses, and other kitchenware as needed, either using commercial dishwashers or by hand.
- Ensure that kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.

Trash and Waste Management:
- Empty trash cans throughout the restaurant, including in the kitchen, dining area, and restrooms, and ensure waste is disposed of properly.
- Take out the trash and recycling to designated bins and ensure that waste is sorted according to company or local regulations.

Restroom Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring that all fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors, are spotless.
- Restock toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed.
- Ensure that the restroom is hygienic and ready for customer use at all times.

Stocking and Inventory Control:
- Restock cleaning supplies as necessary and inform supervisors when supplies are running low.
- Ensure that cleaning products are stored properly and are in good condition.
- Help maintain proper inventory of cleaning materials and tools.
