Job Description
AECOM are currently seeking an electrically bias Technical Director to join our Building Engineering team. The Technical Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and guiding the electrical design team. The role involves driving innovation ensuring technical excellence and managing the design and development of electrical systems and components for various projects. The Technical Director will collaborate with crossfunctional teams clients and stakeholders to deliver highquality solutions that meet project specifications and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and development of electrical systems and components from concept to production.
- Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and meet all technical and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources and manage project timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the design team on complex electrical engineering challenges.
- Stay current with industry trends technologies and best practices.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. mechanical structural engineering architecture) to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes for electrical design.
- Conduct design reviews audits and risk assessments to ensure the reliability and safety of designs.
- Develop and manage the electrical design budget including resource allocation and cost control.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks Electrical EPLAN).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems circuits and components.
- 20 years of experience in electrical design with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
