Roles and responsibilities
A Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes within an organization to ensure that products or services meet established standards and customer expectations. This role involves developing quality management systems, monitoring performance, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Quality Managers work across various industries such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and technology, ensuring that every aspect of the production or service process is of high quality.
Core Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure products or services meet specified quality standards.
- Monitor the execution of quality control procedures and processes, ensuring that all aspects of production or service delivery comply with industry and regulatory standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and testing to verify quality standards are being met.

Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and product/service offerings, focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality.
- Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize operational processes and address inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with teams to design and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of quality professionals, providing guidance and ensuring that all team members are aligned with the organization’s quality goals.
- Foster a culture of quality across all levels of the organization, encouraging employees to take ownership of quality issues.
- Develop training programs and materials to enhance employee understanding of quality standards and processes.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that products or services comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA, CE marking).
- Prepare for external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies, ensuring that the organization meets all compliance requirements.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and improve quality standards.

Customer Satisfaction:
- Monitor customer feedback and complaints related to product or service quality, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Analyze customer satisfaction data to identify areas for improvement in products, services, and processes.
- Work closely with customer-facing teams (e.g., sales, customer service) to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are consistently met.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality processes, including quality manuals, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare regular reports on quality performance, including metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement, to present to senior management.
- Ensure that all quality-related records are maintained and accessible for audits and inspections.

Supplier Quality Management:
- Work with suppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet the organization’s quality standards.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments, addressing any issues that may affect product quality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of materials and services provided.

Risk Management:
- Identify potential quality risks in processes, products, or services, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Monitor and manage any quality-related risks, ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues to identify and eliminate the underlying causes.

Internal and External Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, engineering, production, R&D) to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of product development and production.
- Communicate quality goals, initiatives, and results to internal stakeholders and management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and auditors, to ensure transparency in quality processes.
Desired candidate profile
Ensure appropriate definition and implementation of ADNOC Ruwais LNG Project (ADNOC RLNG) assurance and quality management activities within the Project. Participate in the development of Project Execution Planning (PEP). Accountable for the implementation of the Project manuals, procedures, and standards.
- QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferably in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in leading a large team in delivering outcome to support overall project.
- 20 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control aspects for Projects for major Oil and Gas Projects.
- Experience in LNG Projects would be added advantage.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position for international Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
