Roles and responsibilities
- JOB PURPOSE:
- Manages and oversees scheduling function within project controls functional area for major EPC projects.
- Responsible for project planning and scheduling, monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting.
- Participates in establishing operating policies to mitigate risk within ADNOC RLNG Project.
- Ensure that work methods are up to date, efficient and in accordance with ADNOC RLNG HSE policies and within regularities requirements.
- Plan and report requirements & allocation for manpower, materials and equipment.
- Co-ordinate works with other supervisors, contracts, and subcontractors daily to minimize work interferences in the assigned area.
- Plan, and coordinate with all concerned for Civil concrete & steel structures inspection and maintenance activities as per agreed specifications and objectives.
- Identify all the assets in ADNOC RLNG, enter and register all the information related to assets in the SAP system, maintain and update the same.
- Coordinate with other departments in respect to rectification work schedules.
- Support contractors to maintain compliance with the procedures and quality standards.
- Prepare Comprehensive reports for ADNOC RLNG area-wise facilities.
- Safeguard own Health and Safety, as well as that of the fellow employees, by paying attention to safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
- Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any un-safe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements, if witnessed, and report the incident - regardless of your position or that of the transgressor
- QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 18 years of diverse experience Projects and/or Contracts including at least 5 years’ experience in planning engineering including at least 10 years of experience Planning, scheduling / Project Controls activities, focused on Procurement, in the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industry

- Ensure the schedule accounts for all tasks, dependencies, resources, and critical activities.
- Use tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to create and manage project schedules, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

Resource Allocation and Management:
- Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources (labor, equipment, and materials) effectively to optimize productivity and avoid resource shortages.
- Ensure resources are utilized efficiently throughout the project to maintain the schedule and avoid delays.
- Monitor and report on the performance of teams, contractors, and suppliers, addressing any concerns regarding resource allocation.

Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks to the project timeline, including external factors like weather, site conditions, and internal issues like procurement delays.
- Develop risk management strategies to minimize or mitigate risks and ensure the project progresses smoothly.
- Continuously monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and adapt plans as needed to address unforeseen issues.

Project Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track the progress of construction or engineering activities, comparing actual performance against planned schedules to identify any discrepancies.
- Generate and submit regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, resource utilization, and project milestones.
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions if there are deviations from the plan.

Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with the project manager, engineering teams, and contractors to ensure the project’s schedule is aligned with the overall project goals and constraints.
- Facilitate communication between different stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed of updates, changes, and challenges related to the schedule.
- Maintain clear documentation of the planning process, including schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies.

Cost Control and Budget Management:
- Collaborate with project managers and financial teams to ensure that the project stays within the established budget, making sure that all resources and materials are procured on time and at optimal cost.
- Identify areas where cost savings can be made without impacting the schedule or quality, and track financial performance throughout the project.
- Ensure that any changes or variations are reflected in the updated project schedules and cost estimates.

Change Management:
- Assess the impact of changes to the project scope, design, or resources on the project schedule.
- Adjust the schedule accordingly, ensuring that the impacts are communicated to all stakeholders, and that timelines are updated based on these changes.
- Ensure that changes are managed effectively, minimizing any delays or disruption to the overall project schedule.
