Job Description
Job Description: Lathe Machine Operator
Job Title: Lathe Machine Operator
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years
Location: Abu Dhabi
Salary: 55000 per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning boring threading and facing.
- Interpret technical drawings blueprints and job orders to determine specifications and setup requirements.
- Measure and inspect workpieces to ensure conformity to specifications using measuring instruments like calipers micrometers and gauges.
- Adjust machine settings for speed feed and depth of cut for optimal performance.
- Ensure proper selection and installation of cutting tools and materials for each job.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize machine downtime.
- Monitor the machining process and make realtime adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Follow strict safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document and report production logs issues and completed jobs to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and resolve technical challenges.
Essential Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience of at least 2 years in operating lathe machines.
- Familiarity with different types of lathes including manual and CNC machines.
- Basic understanding of metallurgy and material properties.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of machining processes and tool setting.
- Handson experience with measuring instruments like calipers micrometers and gauges.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills for troubleshooting machinerelated issues.
- Attention to detail and precision in machining tasks.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle prolonged hours of operation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other departments.
