Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and analytical PMC Lead Cost Control Engineer to manage and oversee cost control activities for a major Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Lead Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring project costs preparing budgets and providing accurate financial forecasts to ensure project completion within approved budgets. This role demands strong expertise in cost control financial analysis and pipeline construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures for the project.
- Monitor project expenditures commitments and actual costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Prepare and manage detailed project budgets cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and provide recommendations for costsaving measures.
- Collaborate with project management engineering procurement and construction teams to ensure cost alignment across all project phases.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and projectspecific financial requirements.
- Support the preparation of monthly and periodic cost control reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate cost impacts of changes claims and variations and provide recommendations for approval.
- Manage contractor and subcontractor cost reporting ensuring accuracy and consistency with the projects cost control requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of costrelated data for project progress meetings and presentations.
- Provide mentoring and support to junior cost engineers fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1015 years of cost control experience with a focus on Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects.
- Previous experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in cost control tools and software (e.g. SAP Primavera P6 MS Excel).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of cost control principles budgeting and forecasting methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data effectively to stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fastpaced environment.
