Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Process Lead Engineer to oversee and manage process engineering activities for a major Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Process Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring process designs meet project specifications international standards and safety requirements. This role requires technical expertise leadership skills and experience in managing process engineering within largescale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all process engineering activities ensuring designs and documentation comply with project requirements and international standards.
- Develop review and approve process design deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and material balance calculations.
- Perform process simulations and calculations to ensure optimal design solutions for the project.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during the design and construction phases.
- Ensure integration of process designs with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
- Conduct technical reviews and support HAZID HAZOP and SIL studies to ensure process safety and operability.
- Provide technical input for the selection of equipment materials and systems to meet process requirements.
- Support the resolution of technical queries (TQ) and manage changes to process designs as required.
- Prepare process engineering reports documentation and progress updates for project stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers promoting technical excellence and professional growth.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1215 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or largescale pipeline construction projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g. Aspen HYSYS PROII).
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to process engineering (e.g. API ASME ISO).
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for effective team management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced and dynamic project environment.
