PMC - Process Safety Lead Engineer-Abu Dhabi UAE

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PMC Process Safety Lead Engineer to manage and oversee process safety engineering activities for a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Process Safety Lead Engineer will ensure all process safety aspects comply with project requirements international standards and safety regulations. This role demands strong technical expertise leadership skills and extensive experience in process safety for largescale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all process safety engineering activities for the project ensuring compliance with project specifications international standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop review and approve process safety deliverables including HAZID HAZOP SIL studies risk assessments and safety case reports.
• Ensure that process designs incorporate robust safety principles and mitigate risks effectively.
• Provide technical expertise in identifying and evaluating process safety risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of process safety requirements into the overall project design.
• Conduct safety reviews and audits to identify noncompliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and assess safetyrelated documentation such as relief and blowdown calculations fire and gas detection systems and emergency shutdown systems.
• Support the resolution of process safety technical queries (TQ) and ensure design changes comply with safety standards.
• Prepare detailed process safety reports and provide progress updates to project stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and project teams on process safety best practices.

Qualifications :

• Education: Bachelors degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 1215 years of experience in process safety engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or largescale pipeline construction projects.
  • Proven experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in process safety analysis tools and methodologies (e.g. HAZID HAZOP SIL LOPA).
  • Strong knowledge of international process safety standards and codes (e.g. API ASME IEC 61508/61511).
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in process safety software tools and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment.
