Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented PMC Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the engineering activities for instrumentation and control systems in a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Instrumentation & Control Engineer will be responsible for designing reviewing and ensuring the quality of instrumentation and control systems to meet project specifications international standards and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review designs specifications and drawings for instrumentation and control systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Perform calculations and simulations to validate the performance and reliability of instrumentation and control systems.
- Assist in the selection and specification of instrumentation equipment ensuring alignment with operational and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems into the overall project design.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance during design installation and commissioning to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and commissioning activities for instrumentation and control systems.
- Address and resolve technical queries (TQ) and incorporate approved changes into designs.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to instrumentation and control systems including progress updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all instrumentation and control engineering activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in instrumentation and control technologies and apply best practices to project activities.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 710 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in design and analysis tools for instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g. ISA IEC API).
- Familiarity with SCADA DCS and PLC systems.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic project environment.
