As a Bartender you are responsible to provide the highest level of hospitality when preparing and providing beverages and your role will include key responsibilities such as-
- Perform all necessary tasks to service beverages according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel
- Achieve total guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources
- Delight the guest by offering trend setting and innovative products and services and contribute to sales activities and assist in maximizing revenue
- Set up the bar and prepare all mise-en-place for service
- Clean the bar and all equipment to the required standards and maintain this cleanliness throughout service
- Extend prompt services to all guests and treat guests and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner
Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should ideally have a diploma / degree in hospitality or a vocational training in food & beverage and a minimum of one year experience in Bar Operations. Excellent command of English and additional skills, like guest service and interpersonal are essentials. Flamboyant and bar tending skills coupled with thorough knowledge about all types of wines, liquor and cocktails are a definite plus and at least slightly expected.

A Bartender is skilled in mixing drinks, managing bar inventory, and maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation:
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes or guest requests.
- Create signature cocktails and suggest drink pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Garnish beverages with appropriate decorations to improve presentation.

Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and engage with them to provide personalized service.
- Recommend beverages based on guest preferences and menu knowledge.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.

Bar Maintenance:
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked at all times.
- Sanitize equipment, glasses, and utensils according to health and safety standards.
- Ensure the bar complies with local and organizational health and safety regulations.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels of liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report shortages to the bar manager.

Cash Handling:
- Accurately process payments and handle cash, credit cards, and POS systems.
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures and secure the till.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure smooth operations.
- Assist other team members during busy periods or special events.

Knowledge and Compliance:
- Stay updated on bar menu offerings, promotions, and special events.
- Adhere to laws regarding alcohol service, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age.
- Maintain knowledge of ingredients to assist guests with dietary restrictions or allergies.
