Functional HRSS Roles and Responsibilities
- Advise and guide the HR team and Line Managers on all procedural/ legal obligations regarding visas, medicals, health cards, etc., for new employees. Highlight possible risks, delays, etc., to secure/ protect the best interest of the Group.
- In cases of unforeseen delays/ issues with specific new employee cases, review them with Line HR and GR to resolve the issue or re-align expectations to manage the onboarding services value chain.
- Oversee the coordination between the candidate (post-offer acceptance) and all other concerned departments to ensure smooth relocation and joining of the candidate. Ensure that the candidate and all concerned departments are in constant communication and aware of each stage of the process as per the established onboarding communication grid and schedule.
- Negotiate and agree within policy rates for airline and hotel stay rates with the in-house Travel Agency and for staff transportation needs as mandated for providing relevant services to employees as per ATG standards and SLA/ policy guidelines.
- Ensure that the travel arrangements, airport pickup, accommodation, and advances for new employees are consistently applied and in line with the Group’s policy and standards.
- Oversee the joining and induction formalities for all new employees, ensuring that the sessions are in accordance with the Group’s standards and that the information shared is accurate and relevant.
- Direct the coordination of medical and health card formalities and visa stamping for all new employees. Ensure that these are processed per the defined SLAs and that the Group is not exposed to unwarranted risks.
- Personally manage the joining, relocation assistance and onboarding of employees in the senior management cadre.
- Ensure applicable system updates, where mandated/ required, suitable documentation and record keeping align with all internal and external audit requirements.
- Analyse trends and make recommendations/ reports based on the Induction Feedback report to the Head of HRSS.
Functional Government Relations Roles and Responsibilities
- Independently manage and oversee ATG’s visa management and work permit activities in the UAE.
- Lead the in-house Immigration and MoHRE team members to deliver efficient, cost-effective processes for the Group’s employing entities following relevant SLAs and KPIs.
- Provide advisory services to the Group’s businesses and management based on applicable laws, regulations, and market trends.
- Work with the Head of HRSS on any HR analytics, reporting or technology projects and activities that may improve service delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness in Government Services.
- Deliver efficient and effective processes for new joiners, renewals, leavers, and other scheduled or ad hoc activities.
- Coordinate with third parties, joint ventures, and the relevant Government authorities, and attend in-person activities with the Government, typing centres or other third parties as and when required.
- Ensuring continuously improving employee experience is at the heart of the Immigration team’s service delivery and process management.
- Work with the Head of HRSS to design streamlined processes for seamless integration between Government Services and operational departments such as Onboarding, Offboarding, the helpline, and the Emiratisation department.
- Deliver transactional and standard HR services on time and per the defined SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, regulations, and ATG’s policies and guidelines.
- Drive innovation in Government Services practices through bots, cloud-based technology, and artificial intelligence, among other available and current tools.
Desired candidate profile

Years of Experience
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the HR Shared Services domain a must.
