Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • We are seeking a dynamic, professional, and strategically minded Digital Communications Senior Executive to oversee and manage the social media presence of Chairman and Group CEO across platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-profile or executive social media accounts, with an emphasis on maintaining a polished, professional, and authoritative digital presence. This role will require discretion, a deep understanding of the individual’s personal and professional brand, and the ability to engage with a broad audience while aligning with organizational goals and values.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that reflects the Chairman and CEO’s professional persona, business interests, thought leadership, and personal values.

Curate and craft thoughtful, engaging, and high-impact posts across social media platforms, with a primary focus on [platform(s), e.g., Twitter & LinkedIn].

Create and share content that aligns with key moments (e.g., company announcements, industry events, personal milestones, etc.).

Manage content calendar to ensure a consistent and balanced mix of personal, professional, and brand-driven content.

Brand Voice and Tone: Establish and maintain a strong, consistent voice for the Chairman and CEO’s account that reflects his/her leadership, professionalism, and values.

Tailor messaging to different audiences while maintaining the integrity of the Chairman and CEO’s brand across all channels.

Write and edit content with clarity, precision, and thoughtfulness—balancing authenticity with a high level of professionalism.

Community Engagement & Reputation Management: Monitor mentions, direct messages, and comments, responding in a timely manner, and addressing questions, comments, and feedback in line with the Chairman and CEO’s tone and values.

Build and nurture relationships with followers, business leaders, influencers, and key stakeholders in the industry.

Proactively engage with important discussions, trending topics, and conversations in the Chairman and CEO’s industry or areas of expertise.

Handle any sensitive or potentially controversial issues with discretion and professionalism, escalating as needed.

Thought Leadership & Public Relations: Share relevant articles, blog posts, speeches, interviews, and thought leadership content authored by the Chairman/CEO or that align with his/her professional interests.

Coordinate with PR teams to amplify key messages, announcements, or achievements.

Highlight the Chairman/CEO’s role in company initiatives, charitable efforts, industry events, and leadership roles.

Analytics & Reporting: Use social media analytics tools to track the performance of posts, follower growth, and engagement rates.

Provide regular performance reports with insights and recommendations for optimizing content strategy.

Adjust content based on real-time feedback, audience behaviour, and emerging trends to increase impact.

Crisis Management & Monitoring: Monitor the digital space for any mentions or potential issues that could affect the Chairman and CEO’s reputation, handling situations with caution and professionalism.

Be prepared to respond to potential PR crises, working closely with the Chairman and CEO’s PR and executive team to protect and manage the brand.


Desired candidate profile

Proven experience in managing high-profile social media accounts, particularly for executives, public figures, or brands.

Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to tailor tone and messaging for various audiences.

In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and trends (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), with a focus on professional engagement.

Strong understanding of personal branding and public relations, particularly for executives or business leaders.

Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Discretion and ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc.).

Strong analytical skills and experience with social media reporting and optimization.

Preferred:

Experience working directly with C-suite executives, government leaders, or other high-level professionals.

Background in PR, corporate communications, or executive branding.

Familiarity with visual content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) or experience working with graphic designers.

Crisis communication or media relations experience.
