Roles and responsibilities
Technical – carry out assigned asset integrity tasks including engineering calculations, preparation of reports etc. with support from Senior Asset Integrity Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Executing integrity (FFS / RBI) assessments under the supervision of Senior Asset Integrity Engineer.
- Executing plant / pressurized static assets integrity (FFS / RBI) assessments under the supervision of Senior Asset Integrity Engineer.
- Should be able to produce detailed calculations as and when required.
- Producing high quality deliverables as part of the project.
- Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System must be implemented within the area of operation as per the company approved procedures and ISO Standards.
Knowledge / Experience (Skills)
- Knowledge of RBI relevant codes and standards (API 580, API 581)
- Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (such as API 579, ASME B31G etc.)
- Understanding of the assignment of consequences of failure and probability of failure
- Development and preparation of inspection plans for static equipment classes
- Hands on experience of fully quantitative RBI industry software packages (Meridium, E2G etc..)
- High level of computer literacy with MS Office (specifically Word & Excel) and experience of other specific analysis software packages (e.g. MathCAD, Abaqus, Caesar, Autopipe etc.)
- Good communication skills in English, verbal and written
- Previous Middle East Client facing role (e.g. ADNOC, Aramco) is preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of asset integrity engineering and management experience in the Oil and Gas
- API 580 certification
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or similar
- NACE accreditation is an advantage.
- Professional membership with an engineering institute (ImechE, ASME etc)
- Experience in Meridium Asset Performance Management Software APM by GE is highly desirable
- Some Oil and Gas experience is preferred

- Develop and implement integrity management plans for critical infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, tanks, pressure vessels).
- Conduct inspections, assessments, and integrity evaluations to determine the condition of assets.
- Analyze historical data and perform risk assessments to predict and prevent equipment failure.

Monitoring and Inspection
- Oversee routine inspection and testing programs (e.g., ultrasonic testing, visual inspections, corrosion monitoring).
- Implement and maintain condition monitoring systems to track asset performance in real time.
- Use non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques to evaluate the integrity of materials and structures.

Failure Analysis and Risk Assessment
- Conduct root cause analysis of failures and incidents to identify contributing factors and preventive measures.
- Perform risk-based inspections (RBI) and failure mode analysis (FMEA) to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Analyze the potential impact of degradation or damage on asset performance and safety.

Maintenance and Repair Strategy
- Develop and recommend maintenance, repair, and replacement strategies based on inspection results and analysis.
- Ensure the timely and efficient implementation of repairs or modifications to maintain asset integrity.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to schedule and oversee required work.

Compliance and Standards
- Ensure that asset integrity management practices comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and integrity assessments to support audits and inspections.
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and minimize risk.

Reliability and Performance Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability and performance, minimizing downtime and increasing operational efficiency.
- Monitor asset life cycles and recommend modifications to extend operational lifespans.
- Develop strategies to address corrosion, wear, and other degradation factors that impact asset integrity.
