Roles and responsibilities
- Assisting Production Manager in planning and organizing the shift employees in achieving daily Production targets.
- Monitor and ensuring that all personnel adhere to work instructions and procedures
- Assist in Production Process for different Processing Lines of Meat & Sea Food
- Increase employee morale and be able to handle queries of shift workers and request relative to personal health related matters, accommodation, yearly leave request.
- Ensure processing staff are adhering to the Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Monitor attendance and Employee time Management and ensuring weekly timesheets are correct.
- Participate in the maintenance of operational controls and compliance with HACCP audit and regulatory guidelines for all activities.
- Ensure customer service levels by producing quality products within the agreed timeframes.
- Coordinate with Quality Team to ensure customer complaints are investigated and corrective action is completed.
- Coordinates with Maintenance Team to ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on all equipment and that operators have the necessary training with regards to preventative maintenance and operations.
- Perform any other assignments as required by the Production Manager
People Management
- Ensure employee development – Training and mentoring and providing skills development.

- Adhering to Regulations: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. This includes ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and adherence to safety procedures.

- Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Overseeing the safety of the production floor by ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are followed. This includes conducting regular safety checks and ensuring that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.
- Conducting Safety Training: Regularly updating employees on safety guidelines and ensuring that safety equipment is maintained. Implementing emergency procedures and ensuring readiness in case of accidents or incidents.

- Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of production activities, including production output, downtime, defects, and maintenance schedules. This documentation is critical for tracking performance and ensuring transparency.
- Reporting to Management: Providing regular updates to senior management on production goals, performance, challenges, and outcomes. This includes identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for operational changes.

- Addressing Production Delays: Identifying and resolving issues that cause delays in the production process, such as machine breakdowns, material shortages, or staffing problems.

- Overseeing Equipment: Ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and scheduling maintenance or repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Maintenance Coordination: Collaborating with the maintenance team to schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for production equipment.
