Roles and responsibilities
As a Specialist, IT – Applications, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all resort software systems for Atlantis Dubai. As a Specialist, you will support Assistant Managers with the following responsibilities: troubleshooting application and in room technology issues, escalating issues to vendors for support, documenting knowledge base articles for troubleshooting and configuration, application upgrades, project tasks and events setup.
About You
Ideally, we would like you to have a Diploma in Computer Science, or similar, with an understanding of IT processes and administrative tasks. Strong knowledge and practical experience of application support across hospitality solutions and integrations is essential. Understanding IT processes and administrative tasks, experience in network switching and routing, monitoring, configuring, and networking cable management. Strong communication skills, the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads as well as last-minute requests.
Other Desirable Skills/qualifications
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Experience using Opera and Simphony
- Experience supporting guests within room technology
- ITIL or CoBIT an advantage
- Thorough understanding of IT security concepts and principles
- Experience with Ethernet networking, LAN/WAN network technologies, the OSI model, TCP/IP, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs
