Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of housing staff including maintenance workers property managers and other support personnel.
- Address tenant concerns complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure tenants comply with housing rules and regulations handling conflicts or violations when necessary.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of housing units ensuring that the facilities are safe clean and in good working order.
- Schedule regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and preventive maintenance efforts.
- Monitor and control operational costs such as repairs utilities and supplies.
- Ensure that housing properties meet all local state and federal housing laws building codes and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of housing operations including maintenance requests tenant communications financial reports and compliance documentation.
Qualifications :
- Strong management and interpersonal skills to supervise staff and handle tenant relations effectively.
- Understanding of housing laws tenant rights and building codes.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required or a related field is often preferred.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in property management housing or a related field with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks such as walking the property inspecting buildings and lifting moderate weights.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions both indoors and outdoors.
