Manage region P&L and oversee operations to enhance region/country performance. Provide high quality service to customers to retain and expand customer base.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Budget
Execute the short and long term strategy for the department within the context of the 5-year strategy for the Bahri Line business unit. Plan, manage and oversee all department processes and activities to achieve the annual plan.
P&L Accountability
Manage overall regional operations, oversee business development initiatives, increase revenues and reduce costs to enhance region/country financial performance
Operations
Manage and oversee the operations of Liner business ensuring achievement of KPIs/objectives through effective management of people, resources, financials/budgets, while meeting customer expectations.
Concepts and Policies
Support the development of professional strategies and policies within their area of responsibility to ensure that General Cargo operations utilize newest relevant insights and practices.
Leadership and Team Management
Manage the team to set their annual objectives and assign tasks to the team members. Monitor daily activities in line with the assigned tasks. Train and coach team members and execute performance management for the team. Correct performance issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Marine Transportation, Engineering or Business Administration.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, minimum of 2 years is a managerial role.
Sales Strategy Development: Ability to create and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals and market conditions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and guide the sales team towards achieving their targets.
Customer Relationship Management: Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Performance Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing sales data and metrics to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations, negotiations, and team interactions.
Coaching and Training: Skills in mentoring and developing sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements that benefit both the company and the client.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies and approaches based on changing market conditions and customer feedback.
