We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Art IGCSE Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary team.
Responsibilities:
Plan prepare and deliver engaging and effective Art lessons aligned with the IGCSE Art and Design syllabus.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners including gifted and talented students and those with special educational needs.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies such as projectbased learning inquirybased learning and technology integration to foster creativity critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation experimentation and risktaking.
Assess student progress regularly using a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
Prepare and administer formal assessments including coursework and examinations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Art curriculum ensuring alignment with the IGCSE Art and Design syllabus and the schools educational philosophy.
Stay uptodate with the latest trends and research in art education.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and highquality Art program across all key stages.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Share expertise and knowledge with colleagues through mentoring coaching and collaborative planning.
Embrace innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning.
Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and expectations.
Build strong relationships with parents to foster a supportive learning environment.
Organize parentteacher conferences and workshops to share information about the Art program.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Art Education Fine Arts or a related discipline; Master s degree in Education or Fine Arts is advantageous.
Valid teaching certification in Art or equivalent qualification with a focus on secondary education.
Minimum of 23 years of experience teaching Art specifically within the IGCSE framework or other internationally recognized curriculum.
Proven expertise in IGCSE Art curriculum requirements assessment standards and portfolio preparation.
Strong technical skills in various art forms a wellrounded understanding of art history and familiarity with digital art tools.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
