The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Guest Service: Providing attentive and personalized service to guests, ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
Order Management: Taking and processing orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.
Staff Supervision: Assisting in training and mentoring junior waitstaff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Menu Knowledge: Having in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings, to make informed recommendations to guests.
Table Setup and Presentation: Ensuring tables are set properly and in accordance with restaurant standards before guests arrive.
Complaint Resolution: Addressing any guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues to management if necessary.
Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Communicating with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service.
Sales Techniques: Utilizing upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Assisting with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including resetting tables and keeping the area organized.
Reporting: Keeping records of orders and payments, and assisting in closing duties at the end of the shift.
