Qualifications:
Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards.
General Ledger Management: Overseeing the general ledger and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Reconciliation: Performing reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances between actual and projected results.
Audit Support: Coordinating with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial records.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies, including tax compliance.
Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and provide insights for decision-making.
Team Leadership: Mentoring and supervising junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training on accounting practices and procedures.
Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement within the accounting function and implementing best practices.
Reporting to Management: Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Skills
Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing financial data and identifying trends and discrepancies.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in financial reporting and record-keeping.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions related to financial processes and reporting.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Ethical Judgment: High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
