Summary: Assist in the preparation and production of pastries and desserts under the guidance of the Pastry Chef. Ensure highquality standards and consistent presentation in all pastry items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation: Assist in the preparation of pastries desserts and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Production: Execute pastry production tasks including mixing baking decorating and plating.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of hygiene and quality in the preparation and presentation of pastries.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of pastry ingredients including proper storage and rotation of stock.
- Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and equipment; adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Assistance: Support senior pastry staff in the development of new recipes and menu items as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications :
- Culinary diploma or relevant qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in a pastry or baking role preferably in a luxury hotel or Michelin restaurant setting.
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques and ingredients; good organizational and timemanagement skills; ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Comfortable to work in fastpaced kitchen environment which may include exposure to heat and varying temperatures.
