Black & Grey HR is hiring for a renowned University in the UAE.Our client is looking to hire a Senior Officer in Employee Relations who will prioritize the development of positive relationships between university administration and employees. This role involves ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations while effectively addressing any employeerelated issues or concerns.
Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for employees with HRrelated questions.
Maintain fair employee relations policies to ensure compliance with university policies.
Communicate regularly with employees to address inquiries and grievances.
Track and manage escalated employee issues recommending appropriate disciplinary actions.
Compile and verify payroll data for accuracy and timely processing.
Process nonrecurring payroll transactions like bonuses and benefits.
Maintain records of attendance and pay adjustments accurately.
Oversee employee service requests and ensure timely processing.
Manage health insurance processes and provide support for employee claims and complaints.
Coordinate employee engagement programs and manage the offboarding process including exit interviews and trend analysis.
Requirements
A bachelor s degree in HR Management Accounting or a related field is required; a master s degree is preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant HR experience including a minimum of 3 years in Employee Relations or as an HR generalist.
Experience in a higher education environment is preferred.
Fluency in English both written and spoken is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
Familiarity with UAE Federal and Labor Laws is necessary.
Practical experience with payroll systems practices and procedures is required.
High computer literacy is expected with a working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP being desirable.
Strong HRMS technical skills including the ability to generate and analyze reports using Excel and other reporting tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
