Job Title: Medical Center Receptionist

Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Medical Center Receptionist you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth operations within the medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally ensuring a positive first impression of the medical center.
  • Manage patient checkin and checkout processes efficiently including verifying demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments for patients ensuring accurate documentation of appointments and maintaining the appointment calendar.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members or departments.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area ensuring that patient information and confidentiality are upheld at all times.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork including insurance claims and medical history updates.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any urgent or critical patient needs promptly.
  • Process payments copayments and insurance claims accurately utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing data entry and inventory management as needed.
  • Stay informed about medical center services policies and procedures to provide accurate information to patients and visitors.
  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism escalating issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
